What We Don’t Do

By law, we are not allowed to provide the following:

  • Intravenous therapy
  • Sterile dressing change
  • Physically restrain or lock residents in
  • Give medications, prescribed or over the counter, that are not part of the treatment plan from the residents doctor unless in a written order
  • We are not allowed to have more than 6 residents in each home

If you are in need of any of these services, Renee provides counseling to help you find a place that will better suit your needs.

“My appreciation and thanks to you so much for the amazing care you took of Jen, Jenny, “Jennabelle” Eden. Any of the light, laughter and love she experienced her last years were due to you all, which is a beautiful thing.”

Doreen

“Words can hardly express how much we appreciate – and how thankful we are for the tender love and care you gave my sister – Margaret. She was always content – happy – clean – smelled good – and on and on. So, I thank you. God bless you.”

Mary Carole

Daughter

“I have visited Renee’s adult family home in the capacity as a Hospice Social Worker. Her home has been a stable and loving environment for residents. The caregivers provide excellent care. I never hesitate in recommending her home to individuals and families looking for that level of care. She is well known and respected in the community. Renee is a wise business woman overseeing a multitude of responsibilities. She intelligently navigates interactions with many medical providers and systems.”

Elaine

“Renee is truly a loving and concerned caregiver. I was very impressed that she would feed the grass-fed beef to your clients when other beef is less expensive. She wanted to share and give them something special. Renee truly loves what she does, and cares about each of her client’s best welfare and quality of life. Hopefully, God did not break the mold with her, she truly makes this world a better place.”

Dana Brown

Daughter-in-law

“My mother-in-law has been a resident at Crestview Adult Family Home for 9 months. We have been to visit her everyday during that time and have always been pleased with her care. She is clean and has different clothes on each day, her hair is combed, her room is cheerful. This is true for the other residents as well. Her physical and medical needs are met and we are extremely happy with the loving, personal care she has been shown.”

Amy Schroepfer

Daughter

“My Mother, Betty Kaspar lived at Crestview Adult Family Home for three years. I can honestly say that the care my Mother received at Crestview Adult Family Home was excellent in all ways. The entire home is run with excellence and it has an overriding quality of friendliness. We, as family members, were welcome to come into the home at all times and it was always clean and hygienic. All of the caregivers treated my Mother and the other residents with the greatest respect and kindness. There was a lot of laughter and the residents were encouraged to participate in many activities. The food served was nutritious, wholesome, fresh and varied. Individual tastes were always taken into consideration with meals. At the end of my Mother’s life, Renee and the other caregivers went above and beyond in innumerable ways to help my Mother and us, her family, through the difficult process and we will forever be grateful to them.”

Crest View was opened 10 years ago and has provided personal care for 6 ladies in a warm, cozy family environment.

Crest View I provides 24-hour personalized professional care including all levels of attention to residents for comfortable living by a staff of certified professional. Each tasty meal is cooked from fresh ingredients. The highlight of the year is the annual barbecue followed by theme meals at significant holidays. The environment is casually structured and family oriented.

Crest View II was opened in a location on the west side of Camano Island (1032 Circle Dr) distinguished by spectacular sunsets, views of the Sound, Whidbey Island and the Olympic mountain range. The new location provides opportunities for both ladies and gentlemen to enjoy the same thoughtful care practiced at Crest View I for the past 10 years.

Both facilities are under the direction of Renée Hemmingsen, a licensed twenty-plus-year professional caregiver. A quick view of Renée’s picture (facebook.com/Hemmingsen) speaks volumes about the woman. She is a warm, effervescent person, the motivating energy and guiding light for the superlative care provided in each home. Come by for a visit and share a meal if you are so inclined, you will be welcome.

Why do I know about this wonderful place? Because, my wife became a resident in June of 2016 and I visit her every day. I see her care and I am thankful the Crest View is there for her.

“I can’t begin to tell you the comfort you gave us in your care of mom. We were so blessed to have Mom with you. Thank you again for all you did.”

Gigi & Family

“I finally feel comfortable with where my mother is living. I used to stress out with thoughts like ‘how can I help mom get better’ and ‘is she really safe’ and ‘should I move her into my home for better care?’ However, now that mom (aka Carol Currier) lives as Crestview AFH, I feel calm and supported. I have learned so much about aging and dementia from all of you. It has allowed me to enjoy my time with my mom instead of worrying about how I can change nature’s course.”

Bonnie Restemayer

“I’m writing to express my gratitute to you and your staff for the wonderful care you gave to my mother. I appreciate the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the house and the people. Not only are the surroundings beautiful but the home is very comfortable. I knew I had found the right place for Mom when I dropped in one day and found the two of you laughing heartily. Mom always said ‘oh, Renee is so much fun!’ You treated my Mom as if she was your family, and she loved you as another daughter. Her last 2 1/2 years were happy ones because of you and your excellent care. During her many hospital stays and health crises, you were not only there for her but also for me. Your support and friendship means the world to me and I’m so grateful.”
